How to watch Sessions
This year, we’re delighted to partner with Aviary to share recorded content and materials for all of our conferences, which will become available at designated times all week. Registered attendees should keep an eye on your inbox (and check your spam folders too) for an invitation to login to Aviary during the week of November 3. You will need to register for an Aviary account in order to view all conference presentations.
For any questions about the conferences, please contact forum@diglib.org
For any technical questions about Aviary, please contact aviary@weareavp.com
HOW TO CHAT ABOUT SESSIONS
Watch conference proceedings in Aviary, and chat with fellow attendees about them in the DLF Forum Slack workspace. We’ll email invites to registered attendees during the week of November 3. Within the DLF Forum workspace, there will be session, social, and other channels dedicated to other conference topics.
New to Slack? Check out our guide here.
Code of conduct
The Digital Library Federation (DLF) is committed to creating and supporting inclusive, diverse, and equitable communities of practice. We strive to be a welcoming organization and the focal point for a digital library culture that is anti-oppression, recognizes intersectionalities, and works compassionately across difference. We know that the best problem-solving and critical thinking happens when people with a wide array of experiences and perspectives come together to work in comfort and safety as peers.
We therefore expect participants in the DLF community to help create thoughtful and respectful environments where that interaction can take place. There are several mechanisms in place for reporting harassment, including our reporting form, emailing, and calling or texting CLIR+DLF staff.
Please review our DLF Code of Conduct prior to joining us at the Forum.
Social & Wellness activities
The guiding focus for this year’s DLF Forum is building community while apart, chosen as a top priority by respondents to our DLF community survey earlier this year. With a mind to building community as well as making the wellness of our event attendees a continued priority, our amazing Community Committee has put together a variety of resources to help soften the edges in a difficult year.
With Thanks & Acknowledgement
In our efforts to make the 2020 DLF Forum welcoming and accessible, we’re inspired by our community and the initiatives of other conference communities. We are deeply grateful to those who have contributed to our DLF Forum Childcare Fund and we are honored to have spoken to so many conference organizers in sharing advice and information about subsidizing conference childcare.
We thank the members of our planning committee for their invaluable input on this FAQ page as well as the many conference organizers who have shared their practices online and served as models for us.
